Holiday Inn, Long Beach Airport, California.
After arriving at Burbank AIrport, we drove appx 40 minutes, having booked this stay for a two day beach getaway.
While the construction of this 70's style "Turret Tower" is dated, everything inside has been kept up to date Small lobby is pleasantly appointed. Very inviting outside pool and patio. We heard that pool side rooms (Garden Suites) are spectacular, but chose the less expensive tower rooms.
Exceptionally clean room contained a refrigerator, safe, and coffeemaker. Sliding glass doors allow access to a tiny outdoor "viewing area." It's not quite a balcony nor porch!
We did not have children with us, but thought that they would require constant monitoring owing to the great height of the hotel. Alcoved wash basin, and a very tiny bathroom with marginal shower pressure. You need to lean back over the bath tub to close bathroom door, and mind your toes. Peculiar lighting requires that you turn on light to basin area to illuminate bathroom- not good for a middle of the night visit, as it can wake up anyone sleeping.
Top floor lounge and restaurant offered great happy hour specials, half price drinks and appetizers.
Our beach of choice was nearby Seal Beach, and the travel time down PCH was a breeze.
Plenty of shops, restaurants, nearby. This hotel is directly off the Freeway. Car Rental office on site. Business center off lobby.
Overall, a nice experience.
