Very Loud and Many Parties All Night Long!!!
Young people are obviously renting rooms here and having large and loud parties. Noise makers roaming the parking lot at all hours of the night and burning out in their cars.
Guess that's why they ask you to sign a waiver upon checking in on Fridays or Saturdays, that you will not have a party in your room or more than 5 people at a time! Unfortunately this tactic isn't working! If you want a peaceful stay and to feel safe ....go elsewhere!

I almost hate to give this place a negative review because the staff was very nice but bad is bad.This place is in serious need of an overhaul in the rooms.Carpet is badly stained the first non-smoking penthouse I was given smelled like an ashtray along with cigarette burn marks on the sinks.The thing that really did it for us in this room was the bird poop (yes bird poop) on the curtains upstairs in the loft!Looks like someone had their pet bird along for the stay and it left a little something behind.Then they moved us and the second one still had wet dirty wash clothes in the bathroom and we kindly declined another stab at a third room.It is nice on the outside but the rooms furniture is old 80's oak that is peeling and I wouldn't walk barefoot on that carpet!

As a party of five we travelled to Long Beach and stayed at the Residence Inn in a penthouse suite. It was fabulous. The suite had an upstairs bedroom and ensuite bathroom. There was plenty of room for us all and it was lovely and clean.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was brilliant - it offered a wide variety of items and you could even make your own waffles. There was also a free hospitality hour each night Mon-Thurs and this offered guests free drinks and warm snacks. It was a great bonus, especially as you could sit by the pool with your refreshments.

The location was good and although it was situated on a fairly busy road and close to the airport, we never got disturbed by the noise at all.

We would definitely recommend this inn and the cost of the penthouse suite was excellent value. A great place to stay in Long Beach.

We have stayed at the LB Residence Inn several times visiting our son who attends Cal State Univ. Long Beach. It is easy to get to the college from the hotel and has easy freeway access, etc. The Res. Inn has comp. Mon-Thurs. beer and munchies - enough to make a meal! The rooms are always clean and very comfortable with internet access. We are sometimes able to get an Entertainment book rate, or a AAA rate which isn't as good a discount, but helps.
