I've never seen a better value for my travel dollar. $63.00 being a Super 8 member. Rooms were recently redecorated, they were steam cleaning the carpets when I got there. This place is clean clean clean. They gladly honored an early 12:30 pm check-in request. Between 5-7 they had a wine reception, apparently all- you-can-drink; I had 4 glasses. The jacuzzi was clean and hot, the pool was comfortably heated even in the middle of January. The water was pristine. The lounge chairs were comfortably padded. The continental breakfast was outstanding. Several fruit juice options including fresh OJ (not from concentrate), fresh hot coffee with too many flavoring options to mention, at least 5 choices of cereal, several choice of oatmeal, many breads and pastries to choose from. The management is obviously on a mission to win the customer's loyalty, which they have in my case. The manager even invited me to visit when I'm in town, even if not staying overnight, to relax in the lounge and enjoy a complimentery beverage. This establishment deserves your business.

We stayed just one night, got there around dinner and left after breakfast the next morning. The price was good and the location (close to CSULB and the cruise ship) was perfect. The breakfast was good. Nothing hot, but a decent selection. Enough to fill you up.

The hot tub is big and has a nice little area over looking the pool. The pool has an area in the shallow end that keeps toddlers from getting over their head. A very nice feature.

Also had internet access that we could get in our room even though it's only supposed to reach the lobby. YMMV.

The downside? Well, it definitely needs an updating, but seemed relatively clean. Location is close to PCH, but we didn't notice the road noise. Some rooms may. Just leave the fan on and you should be OK.

The architecture and rooms are circa 1970’s and have the signs and smell of age but are very clean and well maintained. From check in to check out the staff was really nice and helpful. Most hotels in this price range you would expect a couple stale doughnuts for their continental breakfast but they actually had a pretty good spread.
My only complaint would be its location next to the Long Beach traffic circle.

I would compare room at this property to a room at Motel 6 only larger and maybe older in need of repair.
We got stuck with a smoking room. When I got home my luggage as well as my clothes smelled badly of nicotine.
The room was large but the bathroom was tiny.
The paint was peeling around the door. The beds were comfortable but smelled of nicotine and there was a lot of traffic noise from the street right outside our door. This Motel is in need of a remodel, outside and inside.
We booked this Motel because of the reviews about Edwin.
We never saw Edwin and the rest of the employees we delt with were not that impressive.
If you want something cheap compared to other properties in the area and don't mind old but clean then this Motel will probably work for you.
