Over the past seven years I've stayed at this hotel on average about twice a year. Unfortunately, I've noted that a once solid, consistant property has declined. This hotel is getting tired; the rooms are not particularly clean, the carpets worn and soiled, the bathrooms have not been "sanitized" by any stretch (I keep my socks on). On the up-side the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The cafe restaurant has slipped to mediocre. I know Marriott could do a better job of maintaning the property - I just spent ten days at the Marriott Nagoya, Japan where the rooms were spotless and no detail left unattended and at a rack rate nearly 15% less than Longbeach. Overall, this Marriott is in hovering in the lower quartile.
