We spent 3 nights at Brewery Gulch in January--a wonderful experience. It's quiet, clean, and low-key, very professionally run by the personable new owner. The rooms are airy and private. The excellent chef prepares outstanding breakfasts, and gourmet evening "hors-d'oeuvres" that we were happy to consider dinner! Note: If you like Victorian bric-
a-brac and dogs roaming the hallways, go elsewhere. (Stanford Inn up the road even allows dogs in the dining room--is there no health dept. in this county?) Brewery Gulch's decor is spare and Japanese-influenced, a welcome relief from the usual B&B clutter. You'll have to drive to everything but it's worth being away from traffic and crowds. We'll absolutely be returning to Brewery Gulch Inn!
