“Not bad”

Annie's Jughandle Beach Bed & Breakfast Inn

Overall the stay was nice. The owners were hospitable, the room clean and breakfast was good.
The one thing I disliked was that the ocean view feature of the room was improperly advertised. The ocean is across the highway!! The property is right on the highway 1 with cars zooming up and down all the time. We had a tiny window through which we could see the ocean in the distance beyond the highway. Not what i would call an ocean view. Definitely not worth the extra bucks I paid for it.

Otherwise nice.

I stayed in the Headland's room for one night this past weekend in Annie's Jughandle Beach B&B. Our room was advertised with an 'ocen veiw'---- what the brochure forgot to mention was that the ocean is across the highway that sits right under your window!! Instead of being lulled to sleep by the ocean sounds, one has to listen to the lould sounds of a highway that is active all night. This is an overpriced motel-like establishment catering to those who 'drive by' and see the vacancy sign. If you are looking for high quaility and a romantic weekend, search elsewhere!

Had a delightful weekend in spite of rainy weather. Michelle and Greg told us about a few local things to do, and that was fun. Food was good and accomodations very comfortable. Nice time of the year to see whales, which we did from the inn.

I was a guest in the Headlands room on a holiday weekend and felt that the room was overpriced in that it did not include a fireplace or tub and the ocean view was compromised by power lines and road noise from Highway One outside the window. In addition, on the first day all four couples awoke to no coffee or breakfast at the appointed hour and when we called the owner to inquire what to do, there was no apology or explaination, and as we awaited the meal we wondered where the personalized and gracious feeling one should expect from a bed and breakfast inn was. At the prices we paid we would not reccommend this B&B.

I was shocked by the bad reviews then realized that Gregg & Michelle are new owners who have really turned a tired B&B into a first class establishment! The gardens are equisite, the hospitality unsurpassed, the breakfasts memorable and the lovely new deck with its oceanview a perfect place to have afternoon tea or wine. The Inn is the perfect honeymoon getaway. The Jughandle secluded beach is a short hike through a beautiful redwood estuary.
