“Excellent Place to Stay!!”

I was so burned out from working so much that I just wanted a relaxing get away but not to far away from where I live (San Francisco). Joshua Grindle Inn was the perfect place. I felt so taking care of by Charles and all of the staff. I stayed in the North Cypress room with the most wonderful whirlpool tub. The breakfast is amazing and comes with your stay. You just wake up go to the breakfast room and they make you the most delicious breakfast!! Great start to your day. This is going to be my new getaway and if you have never been to Mendocino then you should book a room at Joshua Grindle Inn because it is right in town and you are able to walk everywhere....that is what you want to do in Mendocino is walk everywhere because it is so beautiful...you are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Go and make your reservations today you will not be sorry I promise!! I wish I could go with you (-:

My wife and I spent saturday night in this place for the whale festival, even though we were not lucky this time to see the whales but the stay was pleasant. My wife usually is very fussy about the clean/tidyness, but she was very pleased with the condition, and I am very pleased with the cottage style guest house since we have lived in England for about 10 years before, and it reminds us of our best stays in B&Bs in England. Oh, by the way, the breakfast was so very nice and i would go back just for the breakfast...

The only thing that we can think of being not so good is we were not given clear direction to the phone room where bottled water can be found...

I was one of best short stays in US.

Just back from another great stay at the Joshua Grindle Inn. Warm reception, comfy rooms and super tasty breakfasts makes this the only Bed and Breakfast to stay at while in Mendocino. Highly recommended.

“Small but beautiful town”

We just weren't there long enough!! This was a quick over-nighter. The inn was quiet and clean. If you stay in the main house know that there are no TVs. You decide if it's a plus or not! But the town is charming and the drive there from San Francisco was very lovely. (3 1/2 hours lovely) !

This was a lovely place to stay. Very quaint and old-fashioned.
It was my favorite experience of our entire trip to California.
Very clean and well-kept with lovely gardens. It's a place
I hope to get back to. The Innkeeper was very nice and very
accommodating.
