My wife and I attended to see the Mendocino Film Festival and were introduced by one of the local merchants in town.
The first thing that we noticed driving up to the place were the incredible gardens that greeted our eyes. The garden is a Mendocino attraction in itself. We walked them extensively and took lots of pictures.
We stayed in the Library Room which was cozy with a fireplace and an extremely deep tub and decorated in the 1800's style. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. There were also two diaries in the room of people that had formerly stayed there back to 2000 which I found interesting in the different things that they found to enjoy in the room.
Outside of our room was an area called the Parlor, which had tea and pastries available, along with some cherry liquer, all complimentary. There was also games, books, and a newspaper. We also found a complimentary bottle of wine in our room to enjoy.
The next morning we had breakfast, which we had heard they were famous for that consisted of moist chocolate muffins, fruit balls with ginger and mint sauce and a delicious quiche. We all sat around a common table had had good conversation with the other guests. At one point the table was fully seated and when additional tenants showed up, they were told that they could sit on the tables on the porch, or that they hosts would bring the food directly to their room. Now that's service!!
The owners were very hospitable and we felt very comfortable there.
