My husband & I decided to take our 17 month old son for a short holiday in Morro Bay and we are so happy to have found this Inn. Small yet cozy, clean and perfect. The manager Steve, his family & staff are not only friendly, but very helpful & accomodating. We enjoyed the city and the Inn so much that we extended our stay. It feels like home. It's centrally located & best of all there's a delicious little French cafe next door! We will most certainly return here every summer. Thank you for making our trip perfect.

This was a very nice hotel and Steve is a gentleman. After arriving here from a motel off the 101 with the initials "BW," he was most accommodating. He helped us find a room (we have a dog) and did not start off with a bunch of nosey questions and rules and regulations. The place is clean and is right in the middle of town. Location, location, location!!!!!!!! If you want to stay in Morro Bay with a view of the rock, this is the place! A dozen restaurants and bars just across the street. The harbor, fishing fleets, and a view of the sunset were fabulous. French bakery just next door!!!!!!.... Were we in St. Tropez or Morro Bay?

We are from the central valley and we go to Morro Bay every few months. we try to stay somewhere new every time we go but we have now found the place we will stay every time we visit Morro Bay. ALL the staff was beyond friendly, they we're like visiting old friends. The rooms are a little small but we spend so much time doing other things that they were perfect for us. We are not too kid friendly but I didnt even know there were kids there. They didnt run making noise around or disturb anyone. it was ver yquiet and sooooo peaceful. The Bayfront Inn has got to be the best deal on the Central Coast. I'm probably the pickiest person on the planet and everything was just fine for our stay. The rooms were very clean. No bugs, no dirt or dust, not a problem in the world for us during our stay. Thank You Bayfront Inn we will definitely be back. I changed our reservations last minute and they we're very accomadating and FRIENDLY aboout it.

I booked 2 nights, 2 rooms (one room with 2 queen beds, one with a king bed) based on what I read on tripadvisor.com, but I was finally let down by this site. What I found when we checked in was a dump! The room I booked for my family was actually 2 doubles, and it was too small for the 4 of us and our stuff (my husband is 6'4" and I'm 5'10" - we need at least a queen - and my step-daughter needed space since she is pre-ACL surgery). The room my mom and step-dad were given had barely any room left around the bed. But the really deal killer was that it was a dump. The bathroom looked at least clean, but there were ashtrays outside all the rooms and several people smoking (it smelled awful) and there were a bunch of little kids riding tricylcles around the front courtyard area making way too much noise. It appeared there were families actually living there, and not just hotel guests. The steps up to our rooms could not have been up to code. When I returned to the front desk to tell her this room was not as represented and that we needed more space, I asked if there were another room so we could at least split up. At first the woman said there was one available room, but when I asked if we could have it for free since the room was not as we were told, she then called her husband (the manager?) and the other room was somehow no longer available. She did credit our visas for the 2 nights she charged for when we checked in when we decided this just wasn't going to work out, but she was so spacey she tried to give my step-dad cash and for only one night - not the 2 charged - and that was only 10 minutes after checking in. Not sure about her short term memory.....Anyway, my step-children (10 and 12) were mortified at the possibility that we might actually spend the night in this dump (we would not have felt comfortable leaving them alone at all, and we wouldn't even have felt comfortable leaving our belongings in the room when we went to Hearst Castle!), and we were all pleased to find wonderful rooms at the Embarcadero Inn after trying at several other places first. The room my mom and step-dad got only cost $12 more per night and what a difference! Our room cost twice as much, but it was well worth it. I was so disappointed in the Bayfront Inn that I had to finally write a review, to at least attempt to add to the integrity of the review process. The Bayfront Inn was a total disappointment and the front desk was inaccurate and not accomodating when we were not pleased. Stay away from this place. Not sure why I even asked for that extra room - I guess I was just afraid we wouldn't find rooms for all 6 of us that late in the day. Thank goodness we did!

Right on the Embarcadero and a short walk right out to Morro Rock. Most of the other hotels and motels in town are up the hill from the waterfront - and a LOT more expensive. The rooms are on the small side and simply furnished, but they're well-maintained and squeaky clean. We stayed in a pet friendly room with our Lab and you'd never know a pet had been in the room before. I'm allergic to cats and would have started to sneeze right away if the room wasn't cleaned properly. They have coffee makers and small fridges in the rooms and a simple continental breakfast downstairs. There's also a terrific bakery right next door which I also went to for pastries and coffee. Enjoyed the pool (heated) and spa, which were also very clean. All in all a great value, which is harder and harder to find on the Central Coast.
