I agree that it is average. Compared with my previous stop in Monterey, things like towels, furniture, linens seemed a little flimsy and cheapish. The room was clean and adequately sized, but although they advertise "All Oceanview Rooms" mine was one of the few which offered only a sliver of blue water, and only if I craned my neck. If that is important, verify that you have a true view. It seems like a place where the management is not going to try to get above "acceptable." One poster mentioned breakfast; if it is still offered, nobody told me! However, the location is excellent and it is a pleasant 5 minute walk to the Embarcadero and cafe's and bakeries, so on-site breakfast isn't important. I would be willing to stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice (depending on price, of course).

The loccation is good. walking distance to a lot of restaraunts. the breakfast is good. the room is clean and comfortable with microwave and frige. The price is reasonable ($109 with AAA). The air conditioner is very loud. The front desk is o.k.but when I ask a extra blanket He said their rooms are all booked up so he can not give me one!

Twin Dolphin Inn - We stayed in the ocean view rooms with a great view of Morro Rock. The room was a standard motel room size but with very pretty decorations, microwave oven, refigerator, nice size table, and comfy bed. The continental breakfast in the morning was good - juice, coffee, cereal, bagels and cream cheese ( you can heat up in the toaster), and other breakfast rolls, etc. The breakfast room was cheery and made for a nice morning. Sitting out on our small balcony and looking at the rock, ocean, and estauray was also quite fun as we finished our morning coffees.
There are DVD players in the room and a DVD collection to rent for; many channels on their cable TV. The rooms were very clean and organized well. In addition, the had nice couches in the area to sit on and enjoy.
We found the place had very good customer service and enjoyed staying there. We would consider this place for future trips to Morro Bay.

We recently planned a mini vacation to Morro Bay and booked the Twin Dolphin Motel through the internet. It proved to be a true NIGHTMARE! Not only could we hear conversations, toilets flushing, and footsteps through the paper thin walls, the rate we paid was higher than another couple who arrived the same day without a reservation. Also, the description stating our room had an ocean view from the 18 inch wide "balcony" that could not hold a chair, was a real stretch. Needless to say, we would not recommend this motel to anyone. If you do choose this noisy motel, be sure to pack earplugs.
