I go to Morro Bay every year and I refuse to stay anywhere else other than Breakers. It's just what you need for a pleasant stay in Morro Bay. We stay on the second story each time and the view can't be beat. It's not the fanciest motel but who needs something fancy when you're in Morro Bay? These people need to spend more time on the town. The rooms are to sleep in and stay for a while not the whole time. So why put so much emphasis on the decor? Each room has the beds you need, a bathroom, a sink, a closet, a mini fridge, a tv... a pool and hot tub outside, what more do you need? It's a comforting environment with polite pleasing staff members. Worthy of return. I'd stay nowhere BUT The Breakers Motel in Morro Bay. Right by the staircase leading to the Embarcadero, across from Dorn's, a great restaurant, and a trolly stop right outside the parking lot.

We love the location of this hotel--right at the top of the staircase in Morro Bay. It is super convenient and the view is great.

Our room, though, we a bit run down and in need of TLC. The bathroom was dirty and the continental breakfast is less than to be desired, but overall it was a fine.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The employees working the night shift were very pleasant and accomodating. The employees working the day shift on the third day were rude, unaccomodating, and refused assistance when it was requested.
Never in my life have I had such a horrible night's sleep as I did at the breaker's motel and never in my life have I had such poor service from a motel/hotel. On top of it all we were called liars
The shower didn't drain, the blankets were a bit dirty looking, the comforter didn't appear to be clean, and some of the lightbulbs were burnt out. This place is a dump.
It's a shame--because the location is fairly decent.

My daughter and I stayed over night At the breakers motel.It was the most horrible place I've ever been to.There was a broken window in our room which kept our room very cold and dirty.The bathroom had three different colors of mold in it,and when we tried to use the shower(I only got three hours of sleep and needed to drive home)I got burned from the water instantly turning hot.When I asked to speak to the manager about the condition of this room,I was told that she was not in but would be later.I went back the the motel to express to the lady my feelings on the room and I did not even get an apology.I did however get a lung problem and had to go to the doctor when we returned home due to the mold and dirt in the room two days of breathing treatments.I thank God that my other daughter that has asthma was not with us.
