Was expecting a nice low budget find in the cute little town of Morro Bay overlooking the rock, what I got was completely the opposite. All began when I noticed this foul odor in the hotel lobby and there was no one at the front desk. Had to ring the bell and finally this young man pops out of his room barefoot behind the desk looking like he had been hitting it hard the night before. Got my key for the room and walked in, wow at this point I needed some potporri so I quickly got my fiance's purfume out to hide the horrible odor. Once I noticed that if I laid horizontal and stretched out my body it would basically cover the size of a one bed queen room I began to search the rest of the hotel. Wanted to check out the jacuzzi that they advertise, great there was a padlock over it at 2pm in the afternooon?? Great first impression! Went right back to the front desk and canceled when I realized there was basically no view and nothing to offer. San Marcos Best Western better view, room, and you get a balcony. Tradewinds is terrible.

A pretty town and a good overnight stop. Motel better inside than out. Although we had asked for a sea view you had to pay extra $15 on arrival. Clean tidy and spacious. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. 5/10

The Best Western Tradewinds in Morro Bay, CA is a great hotel. It was very clean, had friendly staff that was easy to deal with, good prices and room rates, free wireless high-speed Internet, breakfast included, and more. I would highly recommend it. Additionally, it was about a block to the ocean, and very close to a golf course, ocean-side dining and shops. Overall, this visit was an A+, and Morro Bay is a great relaxing place in Central Coast California.

Morro Bay is a beautiful place to stay, with great scenery and lots of nice areas nearby. This hotel had a great view of Morro Rock, the bay, and the ocean - and it is about a block from great ocean side dining, specifically seafood. It was a quick drive to central coast wine country, which was exciting. The hotel itself has free breakfast and an easy to deal with staff, plus is the only hotel in the area that I could find with free wireless Internet included. The rooms were very clean and affordable. I highly recommend visiting this location and staying at this hotel.
