The motel was great, and we were really happy to find out that all of their rooms are non-smoking, because we are non-smokers and we hate the smell!

The front desk staff was very helpful and at check-in they offered us an ocean view room for only $20 more. We took it and It was definitely worth it, we got a great view of the ocean as well as of Morro Rock.

All standard amenities were available to us in the room including TV, phone, bathtub/shower, coffee in the room, and they also offer free wireless internet which worked great

We are definitely going to come back to the Tradewinds next time we stay in Morro Bay.

I will start with the drawback - the room was very small, barely bigger than the furniture. But then it's Morro Bay - you shouldn't be spending all your time in your room anyway.

This hotel was the best we have stayed at in Morro Bay by a long shot. (We have stayed at four.)

The hotel is only a few blocks from the wharf though virtually all of Morro Bay is within walking distance.

The room was very clean and in very good repair. The room came with all the amenities - sink, shower, tv, table.. The bed was comfortable and there were even decent pillows.

The people were very nice. Being Labor Day Weekend, I did not think we would be able to get a room but amazingly they had a couple left.

We only stayed for one night so we didn't use the spa.

Anytime we go back to Morro Bay, we will definitely book this hotel in advance. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Walked in no reservation. Friendly clerk. $109 with no view, $120 with view. Worth the $11! Large west window that opens overlooking the oceanfront and Morrow Rock. Walk to the Embarkadero and food, quick drive to a clean beach.

Room was nice, clean and no smell as was bathroom. Comfy king bed though could have used better pillows. New A/C worked great, some more expensive motels in the area don't have cooling. TV had many channels and good picture. Wireless internet was fine. Refrigerator was set on warrmest, didn't catch until the next morning.

Spa wasn't impressive. Small, old and lukewarm.

Nor was breakfast which was choice of 2 cereals and 2 pastries, juice or coffee. Won't help your morning hunger but neither did my next motel in LA!

Was expecting a nice low budget find in the cute little town of Morro Bay overlooking the rock, what I got was completely the opposite. All began when I noticed this foul odor in the hotel lobby and there was no one at the front desk. Had to ring the bell and finally this young man pops out of his room barefoot behind the desk looking like he had been hitting it hard the night before. Got my key for the room and walked in, wow at this point I needed some potporri so I quickly got my fiance's purfume out to hide the horrible odor. Once I noticed that if I laid horizontal and stretched out my body it would basically cover the size of a one bed queen room I began to search the rest of the hotel. Wanted to check out the jacuzzi that they advertise, great there was a padlock over it at 2pm in the afternooon?? Great first impression! Went right back to the front desk and canceled when I realized there was basically no view and nothing to offer. San Marcos Best Western better view, room, and you get a balcony. Tradewinds is terrible.
