Good: desk staff were friendly/helpful , free newspaper, got two rooms for a very reasonable price.
Not so Good: manager apparently just quit, continental breakfast was minimal, property had a run-down appearance, rooms were not clean.

We checked for one night on Friday July 8 at this Inn on Main street, Morro Bay, CA. The room was 202. It was very expensive ( $169.40 for one night) , The room was smelling of mildew and very noisy, ( windows were very thin and did not close properly). It had no shampoo to shower. The hot water came in the shower where the faucet indicated cold and visa versa. iI will never stay at a Econo lodge again.
I was able to haggle on the price and got a King Bed/non-smoking room (with a (tiny) ocean view) for $89! Unheard of in this area for a Saturday evening. The staff was friendly enough and the room was very clean, had a clean bathroom, a nice shower, and even had a refrigerator and a hair dryer and it was very quiet and comfortable.
It was indeed small and lacked such items as free shampoo and an iron (both of which would've probably been available to us if we'd asked). If you haven't stayed since they remodeled, try it again! For the money, it was perfectly acceptable - we'll stay there again :)

this place is a rip off, they charged more than other comparable motels in town, and they charge for extra annemities that other motels give for free, it was a bad experience, so advise for anyone thinking of staying here, bring your own extra pillows, ice buckets, shampoo, and towels, and some lysol won't hurt...
