This hotel was average at best. It is considered a higher class Marriott only because of it's location in Napa, but I've stayed at other Marriotts which were way nicer. I asked for an early check-in and when I arrived at 1pm my room was not ready. The front desk took my number, but never called when the room was ready. Finally at 3pm I came back and it was ready, but still no one had called. The room itself was ok, but there was a large bush blocking the window so there was no view. The pool was nice and the jacuzzi was great. If I had not gotten the room for free by using my points I would not have stayed there. I would recommend staying somewhere a little more north too, since a lot of the wineries are higher in Napa.

A few places not to miss are the Robert Mondavi tour, The Hess winery & art gallery, Tra Vigne for dinner, and Hurley's for lunch.

I went to this hotel for a getaway with girlfriends and my daughter. We arrived at 3:30 and they would not let us check in until their 4pm check-in time! It is a nice looking hotel and the room was adequate with pretty comfortable beds. The room was also very clean which really is one of my most important features of a hotel. However for what we paid this place is way overpriced. First, it is a crummy location and the area there is not easy to get around in as far as where downtown is located and parking downtown stinks! The hotel offers breakfast but it is not complimentary and it is very expensive, $12 for juice and a muffin...They leave a newspaper at the door but it is also not free. The coffee in the morning was pretty good but they ran out early and there was never many helpful people around. The pool was nice though and there is an hour of wine tasting in the afternoon. The spa next door was also really overpriced as well (maybe I am just cheap though!?)they would not take my 12 year old daughter either. We ended up going to the beauty college downtown and they were excellent!!Great facials and wonderful spa pedicures, the girls were really friendly and it was very clean. They were also really great with my daughter who was having her first facial. I do not think would return to this hotel or this area, Calistoga is much better for a spa trip.

The Marriott was a nice hotel. Our room was large and the amenities were very nice, great linens and bed.
It was an easy location for wineries.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a standard room and were upgraded to a concierge room which was really great. I would pay for that room category if I go again. It included a lounge stocked with sodas and bottled water all day, but it had a large buffet for breakfast, a wine and appetizer spread in the afternoon and a dessert set up in the evening - saved us a lot!

“Fantastic Visit at the Napa Marriott”

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Napa Marriott. It's a very nice property. As others have noted, it does not have the exterior appearance of a new Marriott (2 level spread out in a rectangle over large block), but the room decor and accommodations are definitely up-to-snuff at the Marriott level. Has a very nice pool with attractive landscaping in the large center courtyard. The staff is friendly. We checked in at the evening wine tasting time, and Blossom, the extremely pleasant evening manager, serving double-duty as bartender, was more than happy to share numerous winery and dinner recommendations that were helpful during our stay. We booked our room about a week in advance for a mid-June, mid-week stay through Priceline at $155.

“Good Hotel, Good Location”

Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa

My husband and I booked our stay at the Marriott for a couple of reasons. We wanted a decent hotel, in a decent location. The results were exactly what we expected. We wanted to spend our vacation money at the wineries, not the hotel. So why spend a lot of money on one of the pricey spas or B & B's? However, we also wanted a clean room with comfortable beds, and Marriott delivered. The location was right off Highway 29, which made getting to and from all the wineries very accessible. My husband and I agreed that we will definitely stay at the Marriott for future vacations.
