This small hotel is fantastic! It has a great location. The rates are very reasonable. When we checked in the desk clerk had just finished baking chocolate chip cookies! He took us on a short tour of the hotel. There is a kitchen that you can use anytime. It's stocked with cereal, milk, juices, microwave popcorn, etc... The beach is right across the street. The hotel has complimentary beach chair, and toys. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were happy just hanging out in our room but there is far too much to do in Newport! We will be sending all of our friends here! You must ride bicycles around town, it's so much fun!

Loved the property location near work site, beach and great restaraunts. Rooms are clean and the staff's' wonderful...Will come back in future when working in Orange County Area California....

We went to this hotel to attend the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade....what a perfect location with its great sun deck to view the parade and its easy walking distance to restaurants.

I loved the wall picture in our room of the great wave and the surfers...(different rooms have different pictures.). It was so wonderful. We were 2 minute walk to the harbor; 4 minutes walk to the ocean. The hotel provides beach chairs, umbrellas, boogey boards, and beach towels for your stay. All they ask for is for you to leave the sand at the beach upon your return.

We loved the warm cookies in the lobby....served each day at 3:00 p.m. and the continental style breakfast with breakfast burritos in the morning. Both good....the cookies in particularly wonderful for the holiday celebrations!

The rooms are clean. Each floor has several outside tables with rocking chairs.

The people here are friendly....and this is the first Hotel where they brought a smile to our faces when we entered the room with a wonderful welcome card for us....and

a few days after our stay they sent us a wonderful postcard: Wordinng: Hi! Thank you for staying with us at the Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel! We look forward to seeing again soon!

How wonderful...The people I went with said..."Wow" ...when can we go back. Its such a great place to stay and we'd like to return.

What more can one say.

The one thing to note is there is not a swimming pool, so this is a perfect winter stay. Swimming in the ocean is nearby. However if a swimming pool is a requirement, just wanted to make note. Their friendliness and great location however are wonderful things anytime of the year.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. And there were so many little extra touches--fresh fruit and cookies in the lobby, the lending library of DVDs for the players in every room, beach chairs and boogie boards for the beach... I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in this area!
