All the positive reviews are spot on! Great place at a great rate! Big room, close to the beach and the best customer service I have ever received. Mario is the best! Don't hesitate to stay here and I will be back!

We just got back from a 4-day weekend in Newport Beach and stayed at this hotel based on past reviews. They were totally right on. This hotel was perfect for us and our 17-month old. The rooms are basic...no Hilton or Hyatt...but much better than most basic hotels. The room was big and open when we walked in. Everything was newly remodeled, clean, with 2 desks, a Queen size bed, flat screen tv, small fridge and microwave, shower (no tub), big counter with sink and a screened partition that slid back and forth to close off the bathroom area from the living/sleeping area.

The staff was very friendly, giving us a map and pointing out stores and restaurants in the area. There's a small park with a playground behind the hotel that's perfect for kids. There's actually several parks nearby and on the beaches. It was a 5 min. walk up to the stoplight and across the street to the beach which was quiet and uncrowded. You can watch all the surfers catching waves. Next to the hotel is Cappy's restaurant where we had breakfast every day. The portions are huge!! I ordered off the kids menu and it was the size of a normal adult's portion. I could share with our child and still have more than enough to eat!

I felt very safe here and even walked by myself to the market/liquor store down the street to pick up a few groceries as well as to the beach. The only negative is that we were on the bottom floor and the person above us was clomping around and moving stuff around from 11pm - 1am every night and it was loud enough to keep us awake. I think I might request a top floor room next time. My husband, who worked in the hospitality industry and is picky about hotels, was impressed with the extra care that they took to refurnish the rooms and how clean they were. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Very nice, new lcd tv, marble bath counter. Very clean. Poor cell phone reception in our room...but that is a plus, less disturbance !!

Stayed for one night. It is no Four Seasons or Fairmont, more like a Mom and Pop Inn which was very friendly, personable, and well run!

The room was comfortable, clean, and furnishings were well taken care of. The rooms are spacious with a desk, dining table, lots of chairs, closet, and open area. The queen bed was very soft and comfortable the heater/air conditioner worked well (with remote to control temperature). They had free wireless internet and a large LCD TV with cable programming. I booked directly with the Inn and I have to say it is better than most of "deals" that I've gotten at hotwire or priceline.
