We stayed one night here with our two young boys. I thought they would enjoy seeing the boats and being close to the water. We were given a double room that overlooked the courtyard pool. That was a bummer. Plus we were gently encouraged to take our kids off property for dinner as the restaurant is not very child friendly.
The room was standard hotel fare. The beds were very comfortable with a feather topper. The carpet was stained and everything looked a little run down. The bedding had black ink stains. Most troubling was that both bathroom sinks had a layer of black grime around the drain and up the bowl. Like they had recently backed up. I checked the tub and it was clean. I was able to clean the grime off with a tissue but it was gross. I also found a medicine tablet on the floor near the toilet. I was thankful I found it before my kids did.
I always read through the hotel's guest handbook to understand the property. I was shocked to find that all the restaurants have a dress code and it says right there in print that unruly children are not tolerated. Sheesh! Plus there was a mention that outside food in the rooms was forbidden and bringing in your own food could result in penalty charges.
In the morning the pool was set for lap swimming and given the overall atmosphere I did not think my well behaved kids would be welcome in the water. I was glad we only stayed the one night.
