Inn was very welcoming, room was beautiful, breakfast was great, price was right- what more can you ask for? Stayed in #10. View of ocean and fireplace in every room. Comfortable and spacious. Staff is great with recommendations, and they have a little closet with menus and brochures, very helpful. Yummy breakfast- waffles, yogurt, fruit, eggs, frittata, coffee, juice, cocoa, etc. in well appointed dining room. We appreciated the history of the place, lots of cool 'circa' photos in the hallways, antiques in the rooms. Beds were comfortable too.

Felt welcomed from the start. The staff and owner were very helpful with all of our questions. Even calling to see if 17mile drive was going to be open to tourist during a golf tournament. needless to say it wasn't... but they gave us tons of other options. They had great advice on local places to eat, and were willing to help with anything they could.
The room was nice and clean and had its own bathroom. Always a plus in a B&B. We had a fireplace and having internet access was nice. They had a variety of vhs movies to watch in your room and you could make popcorn too. The breakfast was your choice of fresh fruit, breads, cereal, yogurt , a quiche, and my boyfriends favorite, made to order waffles.
We stayed four nights and had a hard time believeing any of the bad reviews we read on this sight. The only bad thing I had to say about our stay at the Pacific Grove Inn was that our stay was too short. We will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I have been to other B&Bs in Pacific Grove and thought the Pacific Grove Inn was great in location, price and accommmodations. It was beautifully decorated, clean and smelled fresh. The hostess Jean was accommodating, helpful and kind. We loved our room, No. 17, and did not have any problems with the street noise or neighbors. The room was decorated very nice and the fireplace added the romantic feeling. The only negative comment I have was that the bed needed a new mattress and I let the Inn know in my comments questionaire. However, that did not spoil the stay at all. We enjoyed the breakfast of a delicious egg dish, fruit, breads, yogurt, cereal and great waffles! We never felt rushed or "hovered" over. My husband thought the coffee was fine. The location of the Inn was perfect for walking distances to the shops and restaurants. I was shocked to read the other reviews that were so negative. If people don't like the rules of a B&B establishment then they need to go to a regular hotel so that they can stay in the lobby as long as they want. We will definitely go back.

I have been sending both family and friends to the Pacific Grove Inn for over 20 years. We live two houses away and, whenever we do not have enough room at our place, this is where we recommend people stay. This past October we had a reunion of friends from college and eight couples stayed at the Inn. They all loved it. From the rooms to the breakfast to the location to the rates they said that it was great.
