This was stop #3 (after San Francisco and Cloverdale/wine country) on our 30th Anniversary trip to California and on our way down the Pacific Coast Highway. We loved the inn and quaint little town! Glad we read the Trip Advisor reviews and picked this place. Dianna and Charlie are great innkeepers...so friendly! They made us feel at home immediately. We arrived just in time for wine and appetizers and Dianna introduced us to all the other guests. They both had us forgetting that we can be somewhat shy! We had some great conversations. Charlie is a great cook (appetizers, breakfasts, and cookies)!! We stayed in the Blue Heron which is a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. The town is right down the street so you can easily walk to dinner. Dianna and Charlie know all about the best restaurants in town and tell you how to get there. The first night we walked to the Cellar Door for a very nice dinner. The second night we were so full from wine and appetizers and so tired from a full day of sightseeing (Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel, Seventeen Mile Drive, etc.) that we didn't go out for dinner! WIsh we would have because all of the restaurants sounded so good! It was a wonderful place to stay...thank you Dianna and Charlie!

For my husband's 30th birthday we stayed at the Inn at 213 Seventeen Mile Drive from the 18th through the 22nd of November and had an absolutely wonderful time. We chose the Monterey area for the myriad of activities is provided and we chose the Inn for its location, price, and ambiance.

One of our favorite things regarding our stay was our innkeeper Seth. Each night from 5:30 to... he would make sure that hors d'oeuvres and wine were plentiful, the fire was crackling, and the guests were happy. This "social hour" was delightful as it was fantastic to interact with the other guests and learn their stories. This also allowed travelers to be welcomed not only by Seth, our innkeeper, but by the current guests as well. A note on our innkeeper, he was great. Each morning we were met with a piping hot, delectable, and fully satisfying breakfast. Seth was also very helpful during the stay and quite enjoyable to talk with in the evenings.

We stayed in the Pelican room, which is actually its own separate cottage. It was peaceful, secluded, romantic, and cozy (no this is not code for small). Our room included a lovely gas fireplace where in the evenings we would snuggle in our robes, warm our toes, and sip wine after a splendid day of outdoor activities. At night we would tuck ourselves into the VERY comfortable king-size bed that the room accommodated.

Overall this experience was "excellent" and I would highly recommend this property to others!

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience at Inn at 213 Seventeen Mile Drive. It was extremely cozy and they made sure to pull out all the stops; chocolates in our rooms, hor' dourves and wine in the evening and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Seth took over for Dianna and Charlie (the usual innkeepers) while they went on vacation and he did a great job. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return and recommend this inn to others.

My wife and myself have never stayed at a B&B. It seems that we have been missing a lot...Charlie and Diana were awesome. Two very nice people who understand what hospitality is all about.

I took my wife to Pacific Grove for her 30th birthday and she could not stop talking about the experience. We enjoyed the conversations with Charlie and Diana and the way we were treated.

The grounds were nice, the atmosphere is very comfortable, Charlie's breakfasts were excellent, and our room (the Plover) was great. No complaints at all...

We were 100 percent satisfied. I am confident that if the experience was not so perfect, they would of done everything in their power to make things right. There is not much more you can ask for. ...We will be returning in March.

This B&B was the start of our California adventure, we booked direct with the Innkeepers and selected 'The Plover' room. This was an excellent choice and was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. The B&B had wine and cheese in the evening with an excellent selection of nibbles. The innkeepers seemed very happy to help, although on the first evening when we came down for our nibbles all the guest ignored our friendly hellos!?.
This Inn is idea for exploring the PC and Monterey area and would recommend 'Passionfish' for a superb meal.
