My wife and I stayed here for a getaway, and couldn't be more pleased with the our unit in building 2200. This is on the South end of the resort and about as far as you can get from the activities center and pools, but that was fine with us because it was nice and quiet. Also, the golf course was closed for overseeding, so we didn't have golfers outside our ground floor windows. Since we don't play golf, the closure was a plus.
We booked a 2 bedroom unit by exchanging through Interval International, but nobody we invited got to come with us. The unit was large, well equipped, very clean and no maintenance issues at all. In fact, this is one of the few times we haven't had to do some cleaning ourselves upon arrival at a resort. The master bedroom has a large soaking tub and vanity, and the bathroom has a large shower but no tub. The lockoff unit has a standard bathroom with a tub/shower and kitchenette, but is still quite nice.
Since we spent our days exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the surrounding areas, we didn't use the resort failities much. The pools looked very nice, but it was too cool in the evenings to enjoy them. There is a nicely equipped fitness room in the activities center, and you can get in nice walks on the streets and cart paths throughout the resort.
For supplies, there is a WalMart, Sam's Club and several other stores nearby, and the easiest and cheapest gas station we found was at Sam's Club. Check with the Concierge Desk for info on discounts at restaurants and attractions.
We will definitely attempt to book this resort again when planning another trip to the Palm Springs area.
