What a great hotel....the staff is soooo freindly and accomidating. I have not found this often in a affordable brand hotel. The breakfast was fulling and well stocked. The rooms are big and comfortable. I wish they could have refridgerators in all the rooms but they do have some on hand in you request one. The service is why I reccomend this Fairfield Inn though!!

We drove over from PHX after work, checked in about 10pm. First set of keys did not work. Second set of keys did not work. Maintenance man let us into the room with his master key. The room was about 90 degrees and there was a bill that had been slipped under the door that was dated 3 weeks prior. Ac would not turn on so we were moved to a different room.

1st set of keys did not work. 2nd set of keys did not work. This time they sent a different maintenance guy, and he thought I was probably sliding the key too fast. At that point I handed him the key and let him try. It took him 5 times and the door finally opened. He said he could clean the lock, but it would take some time. It was 11pm at this point and I told him I just wanted to get the kids to bed and I would take care of it in the morning. In the morning I told the new desk attendant that the keys didn't work. She thought maybe I got them wet or demagnetized them, I stayed silent and just took the new keys. It usually took 2-3 attempts of sliding the key just right to get them to work which was fine in the Big picture.

Other than that, it was fine for what we used it for. We spent all day at the waterpark saturday and the aerial tram on sunday. This is an older hotel that Marriott bought and made into a Fairfield Inn. I can't really argue with $79 for a family of four/breakfast included. I would stay here again at a sub $100 rate.

We were looking for a place to stay for just one night during the film festival, and wanted something under or around $100 during prime season... this fit the bill. It's close to El Paseo, and Palm Springs. The breakfast and breakfast area is nice. The rooms could use updating. Our room smelled a little musty, but it was so late when we checked in that I didn't want to bother with trying to change. All in all, not a bad place for a night. If you're staying for more than one night, check out the many small hotels. We wanted to stay in several others, but all had two-night minimums on the weekends.

This is an older hotel that now belongs to the otherwise very recommendable Fairfield by Marriott chain. Rooms and public areas show signs of aging. The property is not maintained well and not up to the usual Fairfield standard. Our room was larger than expected but furniture and carpet were worn. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the bathtub was full of water. If you are looking for something cheap in the middle of expensive desert resorts you may put up with it because room rates are low. Otherwise this is definitely not what one expects when choosing a Marriott hotel.
