So thoroughly Professional .... Ur hosts, Jim & Paul, do everything (honestly) to make ur stay memorable and enjoyable. The Pool is heated and its Sister Whirlpool is the biggest and the best looking and operating that I've ever experienced in my 7x visits to PS. In addition, one is served a full breakfast poolside, on the patio ... or even in bed - Freedom of Choice (and that includes all of us non-A list types). Lastly, it's located within a quiet neighborhood and not all that far from THE Action. I'm coming back !

A friend recommended Chestnutz as a good choice for a week stay last January. He was right. Clean, nicely designed and carefully maintained grounds and rooms --new carpet and furnishings.

The hosts, Jim and Paul, make sure each of their guests get the
kind of service that make their stay here superior to similar places.
There were different choices each morning for a carefully prepared complimentary breakfast (cooked or continental) brought to your room or patio. At the early evening gathering for drinks and delicious snacks, they made sure singles and couples were introduced to each other. Nice place for singles or couples. They made sure you found the right place for dinner and called ahead to assure you were well treated when you arrived. They had good suggestions for places to visit.

The pool, hot tub and pleasant gardens were perfectly kept.
Huge, video and book collection for all tastes and desires.
Some other places are more luxurious, but this is a fine choice for a comfortable, friendly base in Palm Springs at a modest price.

Before I travelled to Palm Springs in mid Jan, I checked out the various reviews and websites of properties. Chestnutz lived up to the comments and I was especially impressed by the hospitality shown to me by Jim and Paul. They unobtrusively went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and made sure I had everything I needed. Though it was very quiet when I was there, I could not fault anything and enjoyed my visit.

My partner and I just returned from a visit to Palm Springs and Chestnutz. It was our first visit to the desert and this location. Both of us did extensive research on where to stay on trip advisor and gay.com. After considering all the options, we selected Chestnutz.
Above all else, the owners, Jim and Paul, are dedicated to making your stay the best it could be. After a 5 hour flight and a trip through hell from Los Angeles on the freeway that lasted 4 hours, we arrived at the resort to be greeted by Paul. He immediately recognized our stress and offered us wine and snacks and just encouraged us to relax in the spa. He let us put all the details of checking in off until the next day. This was our first clue that we had made the best selection. My impressions of the resort are as follows.
1. The breakfasts are incredible and made to order every morning and delivered when and where you want them. All ingredients are very fresh.
2. The ground are immaculate and well maintained. The pool is heated to 84 degrees.
3. Jim and Paul are very knowledgeable of the Palm Springs area and have connections to all the restaurants. The can provide reservations, menus and information on almost every restaurant. Paul made reservations for us and provided confirmations and detailed directions for us to the restaurant.
4. The room was nice and always clean.
5. Although there were only 5 other guests when we stayed, we had a great social hour on Friday and Saturday.
6. If you are looking for a hot sexual climate, look else where. If you want a great place for you and your partner, this is it.
This is one of the best places, gay or non-gay, my partner and I have visited. Any resort could benefit learning from Jim and Paul.
