My daughter, age 33, and I both loved this show. We saw a big production in Los Angeles several months ago and thought this show was so much better. No chance to get bored with this amazing show! Kudos to the PS Folllies

The Palm Springs Follies is an inspirational experience with something for everyone. We were entertained for three hours by beautiful "girls", beautiful costumes, beautiful singing, inspirational dancing, and great humor. It's a big deal and well worth it. No trip to the Palm Springs area would be complete without seeing the Follies.

The Follies is a true variety show. The dancers so clearly love what they do; the variety acts are a return to old time entertainment; the headliner (Freda Payne) sang standards, songs from her touring show and, of course, her hit "Band of Gold." Ziff is the perfect host, funny and truly respectful of his talented performers. Granted, the Follies emphasizes that the dancers are over fifty, most well over, but their talent is second to none.

The dancing segments revolve around a theme and the songs are abreviated versions, so you will hear a lot of music. The show ran three hours and has two intermissions, so be prepared to invest the time. At no time was I looking at my watch. The final act, which I suspect is included in all versions of the show, is a salute to the military. Current and former members of the service branches are asked to stand and be honored by the audience. To see these proud audience members, many of them quite elderly, stand tall brought tears to my eyes.

So the Follies is fun, funny, sometimes a bit risque, and truly moving. Don't miss it!

This has been the highlight of our trip to Palm Springs every year. My wife is 54 and I'm 63. So we're happy to see in recent years some more music from the 1950s, such as doo wop. The show is hilarious, and the dancing is great. From about the 10th row back, you can't tell how old the dancers are. We live in New York most of the year and the production levels of this show rival anything we've seen on Broadway. Highly recommended!
