We liked the Pepper Tree a lot. Very good room, a little tight, but nicely furnished and very clean. Shallow pool with salt water, not chlorine, highly recommended. Staff very nice, and the mist makers around the eaves made things much cooler. Our only objection was the constant new-age "relaxing" music that was played continuously around the pool. It wasn't too loud but too much like a yuppie elevator.

We'll definitely stay here again on our next Palm Springs trip.

Stayed here again in April '07, and once again the place did not disappoint. Stayed in room 40 this time, which has a gas fireplace, and a patio. The only wish I had was that the "common wall" of the patio with metal bars and an aspiring vine growing on it is replaced sometime in the future. It would be nicer if it too were the same kind of 5-6ft stucco wall that backs the patio from the parking lot. This would ensure the privacy that many folks would desire.
Everything else was as we expected, super clean, quiet and helpful staff. A big FYI. Mark and Ruben are off to Los Angeles to launch there own business ( not in the hospitality genre). They will indeed be missed.

What a delightful find. The assistant manager bumped us up to a bigger room. All the room's "little touches" were so nice like having suntan towelettes and lotion from Bath and Body Works in the rooms. We were given a late checkout (1:30pm) and stayed by the beautiful pool most of the day. Short walk to town and shops. Hotel is run unbelievably well!

Insanely great staff...the best I have ever experienced by far. This small hotel is so awesome. The saltwater pool rocks! Grab a pool floaty and relax, then get a massage from the poolside masseuse. It's BYO drinks and food, so stock up your in-room fridge and fill yer ice bucket. Not a large hotel, so you'll save your dough for the night out on the town- which is within walking distance. No room service, but who cares, order mammoth sized pizza by the pool (ask Ruebin). The room (we had #28) was clean, nice and great bang for our buck. Can't wait to go back, and didn't break the bank. The private seating area was so nice, especially with the overhead water misting. No poolside bar or restaurant, but we didn't miss a thing. The hospitality was amazing-and we are picky travelers. No attitude needed, expect to be friendly.

This hotel is by far one of the top . The rooms are stylish,up to date, clean and very, very ,comfortable. The grounds are immaculate, relaxing and charming with is Spanish mission feel.
But the best asset this hotel has that makes it above the rest

made my stay there last weekend...the best ..I hated to go home!
I will return again and again!!!
