My partner and I had a party to attend in PS so we decided to stay at Century. It was recommended to us by a friend of his that lives in Palm Springs.
We arrived on a Friday night around 8:30pm. Even though the staff was not there everything was setup for us and they made arrangements so that we could get into the resort.
Its a small resort, 9 rooms that vary in floorplans. We had king suite. It was nicely appointed with a flat screen TV. The bath was updated and the furnishings were modern. Not my taste, but functional. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice. The staff was also very acccomodating and always making sure that you have everything you need. Kirby who we saw most of went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and tell us about the amenities on Saturday morning. We didn't see him when we left, but hope that maybe reads this and knows that we really appreciated his hospitality. He is an asset to Century.
Now for the dirt. Those of you who have read my other Trip Advisor reviews know I try to not to leave anything out. I'm not Leona Helmsely, but close when it comes to details in accomodations. Century is in a great location. In Warm Sands, but not too close to warm Sands Dr. where you get the cruising, which can be annoying. The grounds are well landscaped, minimal, but in a nice way. The rooms are nicely decorated, modern furniture, functional but not very practical. The flat screen tv was nice with built in DVD, but the size was way too small for the room. It was maybe a 24" tops. The bath was updated, but when taking a shower it was almost impossible to not get water all over the bath floor. The shower curtain was too short thus allowing most of the water to run freely into the bathroom. And there was no shelf space around the sink. Whats that all about? However there was one on the othe side of the bath. Not very practical, huh? We have yet to find a resort in Warm Sands that has sheft or counter space near the sink in the baths. By the way the bath window was cracked and wouldn't close all the way. Hopefully someone on staff or the owner reads this and does a closer inspection of the rooms. And finally like other resorts in this area the walls are paper thin. The person who checked into the room next to ours decided to play his TV all night long quite loud the last night of our stay. It probably went on until about 5am. It was probably someone who likes to sleep with the tv on. Can't guests even think that this may disrupt other guests. its just plain rude. So this one is our fault for not speaking up right away.
So we will continue to search for a comfortable place in PS that pays close attention to detail. We may give Century another try since it did come close to all of our expectations of a friendly, accomodating, affordable resort in PS. Until next time stay tuned!
