Actually the place was nicer than I expected from the pictures I had seen on their webiste. The facilities are lovely... really nice pools, hot tub area, nice gym, and nice rooms. On the minus side, I had reserved a nonsmoking room with a King Bed, but when I arrived they didn't have any left and ended up in one with two double beds. Overall though, I had a nice stay and would recommend.

The Hotel itselff isn't so bad. The Casino attached is run by Morons. This tribe prides itself on manipulating your resoures's as well as your common sense. From Pit crew that will actually get angry at the dealers for not taking all your money to General management that tells you one thing and does the other. Gamble somewhere else, where the house truly want's you to win and stay away from these Casino's that wish you ill.

We stayed 4 days for a convention- maybe 100 people- 4 of us in a large room w/2 queen beds, avg bathroom, marble top, conventional shower. The view from our room was to the street (nothing exciting), but our group had a 5th floor suite with access to the roof patio- the view of the mountains is a very nice background for socializing, sunsets, etc.
The pool complex is good sized for this resort - the main pool is not overly large, but the 2 mineral pools were very adequate, not all crowded (this was in January), nice view of mountains from pool complex.
Also, don't forget your room key when you go to the pool, the elevators and stairwells require a swipe for access. The reader in the lobby seemed especially sensitive, I went thru 4 keycards! (2 could have been wiped out by being in a pocket next to my wallet, but I've done that with other hotels, no problems...)

The casino was large, courteous staff, dealers were knowledgeable. If you've never played craps in CA, it's a little different- the dealer turns over cards to simulate the roll of the dice- I didn't know what to do with my hands when I was the "shooter"!
We did not sample the buffett, as we had dinner plans in various restaurants each nite. The places we ate were very good- I can't imagine a hotel or casino dining experience that would compete with the 4-star restaurants in town, many within walking distance.
Breakfast at the Agua Grill in the hotel was adequate, but a little pricey $8 - $15 pp, but you're paying for convenience.

For our banquet: the ballroom was big enough to hold all of us comfortably, food was good for volume food, we had prime rib.
They do have lectern, and small sound system.
Nice appetizer table full of fruits, cheeses, canapes, etc.

All said, a very positive experience, I would definitely stay again!

This hotel has a great location. The front desk service left a bit to be desired with staff that seemed disinterested or too busy talking to each other. My room wasn't ready so I was given another. It was overlooking the pool and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The decor was very 70's but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I kind of dug it. The bellmen were great and the room service was just fine. I would return here again for personal purposes (was here for business).

“Absolutely wonderful Place to stay at Spa Resort Casino”

Spa Resort Casino

2 Apr 2007

stayed March 28th-31st).
Excellant stay, what a treat, the personal and staff get VERY high marks for thier making sure we were comfortable. Pools are so nice, only thing I wish parents would watch thier kids, having several youngish boys (around 7-12) not being watched by parents while they were playing ball in the water make it impossible to attempt to go in one day, my 12 year old would have said"out of my way". The only place we ate at hotel was outside at bar where you can eat, had wonderful drinks and sandwhich very nice bartender. had facial, lets just say I wanted to bring her back with me to teach people how to really do a facial. Im Disabled, had NO problems whatso ever with hotel, Lips at doors are doable, but I have a small chair due to size so for others could be tad bit harder but certainly atainable. Our maid service was very well done each day and we left her a nice tip$, we always tip but good service deserves more money even. Casino ahhh not so many good slots (25centers) but I did well on 1.00$ machines and came home with 200.00$ in pocket. Our car was in Valet that we rented, they were very promt at getting it for us and even put Top down on it each night and we would forget, tipped them each day, its only 8 dollars per day. Noise can be an issue early am due to gals out there getting towles ready ecttt, but we are early risers so it was ok. Only issue was last night of stay some gals next to us were so rude and loud until after 3am, security finallly got them quiet, but of cousre we had to get up at 7am so had no good sleep, whats WRONG with people, they think a hotel is a place to trash, no class!.
I could have easily stayed another month, will go back there again. room was clean, WEAK WEAK water pressure in shower, needs to be fixed, Refrigerator worked wonderfuly so had things in there to keep cool. EACH day we were greeted by hotel workers with a "hello and good morning" and each night" how was your day and a good night" you dont get that anymore so it made it sweet for us.
