We recently stayed on two consecutive Saturdays at the Pismo Lighthouse Suites and found the accommodations to be very convenient and comfortable. This time of year everything is expensive in the beach towns, but we felt that we received good value for the price that we paid. You could have paid more and just had a hotel room. Both time we booked a Parlor Suite with an Ocean View through Hotels.com. If you like the Ocean these rooms are great as they have a patio off the living room that is right on the Ocean. The bedroom is located away from the ocean so the surf noise doesn’t bother you. But if you want the surf just sleep on the queen sofa sleeper in the living room and open the patio door. Each suite also has a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave. Although we were just a couple travelling alone these suites would be nice for families and also OK for two couples although for privacy there is only a curtain between the living room and bedroom.
The rooms are spacious and decorated with beach themed accessories. There is a free continental breakfast that can be a little crowded and there is free wireless that had a good signal in both of the rooms that we were in. The only thing to watch for is that on each floor of the building with the ocean view rooms, one room will have the bedroom window right next to the elevator and soda machine. We had one of those rooms (3206) but were not particularly bothered with the noise. There are other rooms with partial or no ocean view, but if you are going to be this close try to get the rooms with a view.
Overall Pismo Lighthouse Suites is a great place and one of the better values that we found in looking for accommodations in the area.
