I came to Pismo Beach with 3 children for the weekend for a surf competition. We have stayed in Pismo before and have loved the experience. I wanted to save some money yet stay on the beach so when I found the Dolphin Cove Lodge I thought It would be great. I can handle a funky room, but this was unbelievable. Aside from the room being overall dirty ( the bedspreads did not appear to have been washed in some time and the couch was very stained and had an odor) the room was unsafe. The carpet was missing and coming up, exposing rusty nails, the chain lock fell out of the wall when we tried to use it and there was grass growing on the inside of the walls. If this were not bad enough when I went to complain and get my money back the owners would not even speak to me. They would not give me a refund and were rude and outright mean to me and my children. I ended up staying at the Edgewater, which was not that much more money, and made the best of my trip.

The rest of my weekend was wonderful, the motel was clean, the weather beautiful. We also had wonderful meals and shopping.
