I went to Mexico for the Laguna San Ignacio Whale Tour led by Blue Waters. I highly recommend this trip. Amazing opportunity to mingle with baby greys and mothers. The island we stayed on was beautiful. Aside from thieving coyotes taking a few things here and there (one of our guides found their cache), the island is quiet, very peaceful. The tents were okay but I rented a larger tent, one you can stand in. The food was very good. I could not see how the cook managed to create good food given the fact of total isolation on the island. The tour guides were great, very knowledgeable. Kayaking in the mangroves was wonderful but the unique opportunity to be with such beautiful, intelligent whales was something to remember. You can never forget what it's like to scratch a baby's face, getting close enough to kiss (and I did).
