Just came back from a weekend at Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage which just opened April 2008. The casino itself from the outside is nothing spectacular, afterall it is located in a middle of a desert. However, the inside was a good surprise. I cannot comment on the gambling as I am not a gambler. However, we did eat at the Water grill cafe which was well priced and had decent food. There is a fancy looking Steak House in the casino but I did not eat there. The pool is a fair size and was not super crowded. BUT the best part of this resort are the rooms. The standard room is surprisingly large (550 square feet), has a flat screen plasma 42 inch in the living room, a small flat screen lcd in the bathroom, an oversize tub and dual vanities. The decor was totally my style and everything was super clean. The room would be considered a suite in another hotel. The staff is friendly and accomodated our early check in and valet parking is free. I highly recommend visiting this resort, we had a very relaxing time.
