We decided to drive into San Francisco via the El Camino Real. Arriving fairly late in the day, we opted to stay south of the City. Finding the Pacific Inn was like taking a nostalgic trip back to the 50's. The Inn, even though the style was from that decade, had all the necessities for a traveler today, wireless, complementary hot cooked breakfast, which I must say was excellent, and all the amenities in the room. Another plus was the ability to open the windows, allowing a nice cross breeze through the room, no need to use the A/C or heater. A couple of drawbacks, an extremely hard bed and a very small shower stall with no place to put shampoo or soap.
