I stayed at the Homestead during a house remodel, and I chose the Homestead because it had reasonable monthly rates, rooms with kitchenettes, wi-fi, and it was convenient to my home.
I booked the room on the hotel web site. I requested a room near an elevator and I got one. I extended my stay a couple of times and that was easy, I just phoned the front desk a few days before and told them the new date of departure.
There is plenty of free parking.
I had a regular one room suite with a king bed. The bed was not too bad, the air conditioning worked well (there were a couple of heat waves during my stay), the shower was a reasonable size. The wi-fi (available for a one-time fee of $5) mostly worked OK for my purposes but was too slow to watch YouTube videos on, for example. It annoyed me that I had to enter a wi-fi passcode every time I logged on.
The kitchen appliances worked. There were adequate kitchenwares for the most part, but they were stingy with dish soap (they didn't refill it when they cleaned the room; I had to ask at the front desk and I got only a tiny packet) and there was no scrub brush for the dishes.
I guess the room was pretty quiet. I think I might have heard bathroom noises from other rooms but I don't remember hearing conversation. I frequently encountered cooking odors in the hallways but they usually didn't come into my room.
Rooms are cleaned once a week unless you pay a small extra fee for a "daily refresh," which I didn't. The cleaning staff do not do the dishes when they clean your room; this was adequately disclosed when I checked in.
One week they did not clean my room; that was the same week I didn't tell them my room was ready to be cleaned as I was leaving the hotel for the day. The other times they cleaned, they did a good job. If I left the Do Not Disturb sign out the cleaning staff didn't bother me.
The front desk is not always staffed. When no one is there, a note at the front desk directs you to a house phone to call them, but sometimes it takes a while for them to arrive. All the staff were friendly to me.
The hotel lost a few dollars of my money because their soda machine was out of order most of the time I was there.
The hotel is in a business park in an industrial area of the city, and the views from the rooms are of parking lots. There are many restaurants within a short driving distance or within walking distance (it's not a very pretty walk) but none immediately on site. The room contained various restaurant delivery options.
The hotel accommodates pets with an extra daily fee of $25 (capped at $150 per stay); I didn't bring pets myself but I saw residents with dogs of all sizes.
This hotel met my expectations and I would stay here again if I needed to for a similar purpose. It's not a vacation hotel.
