We were very pleased with our stay at the Clarion.

A lovely room:
It had nice blinds, carpet and furnishings. It even had crown molding and a safe. The heater/air conditioner worked well and was easy to use.

A fine breakfast buffet:
So much better than other options we have used. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, etc. There was a hot waffle iron ready with pre-measured servings so that you could make your own.
Easy airport access. We ate the breakfast when it opened at 6:30am, left with the shuttle at 7am and had plenty of time to give them our luggage (had boarding pass done), get on the pre-boarding at 8:15am for our 9am flight to HNL. We even had a quick pickup when we called at 10pm. If we ever fly out of this airport again, we will use this hotel. No need to look any further.

I stayed here not knowing what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The checking in was fast and efficiency. The room were also well equipped with all the business amenities one would expect of a Marriott or Hilton. The desk was very large and pulled out for even more space and the bed was very comfy offering two type of pillows. I enjoyed their Island Grill restaurant in the hotel. Try the Citrus Salmon, the sauce was to die for and the hot breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Friendly efficient service and convenient. I would highly recommend the Clarion to everyone.

There was nothing spectucular about my stay at the Clarion that I can describe. I was disappointed that the hotel has an actual motel configuration, meaning the doors are accessible from the outside. Not such a great idea if you are a female traveling solo on a business trip. In addition, inside the room you can hear people talking as they walk by your room. If you don't want to give a peep show, its a good idea to close the drapes as soon as it gets dark.

The room itself (non-smoking king bed) is rather small, and there is little space between the foot of the bed and the tv armoire. In addition, the bathroom sink is seperated from the bath/toilet room and it is open to the bedroom. The bright side is that there is plenty of hot water.

During my stay, I ate at the Island Grill which, according to the waiter is known for their steaks. Although the service was good, I was generally unimpressed with my order.

If none of the above conditions bother you and you want to budget your hotel stay, then this is the place for you.

We stayed here twice within a week's time, once after arriving at the San Jose airport and again as a departure point before flying home. The airport shuttle service was great; it offered very timely service, even when we asked them to pick us up after we dropped off our rental car. The included hot breakfast buffet was good and featured a wide variety of items. The hotel's Island Grill restaurant was especially top rate, and the servers very attentive. Our rooms were quiet and clean, and we felt the beds were especially comfortable. This hotel is a great option if you are flying in or out of San Jose!
