I did not make a reservation; I never have before with them just showed up for availability. Room was great, includes a breakfast. Staff seemed friendly, but their was two major mistakes which resulted me in a total of $391 wrongly charged to my credit card. I checked in and told them I wanted to pay cash in September. They said they are required to authorize a credit card and I could pay when I checked out. I did this and received a printed receipt that I paid cash and had 0 balance charged to the card. However, I come to find out they accepted the cash and charged my credit card anyhow. The lady behind the desk was not a manager. I checked why my bank account was off and in addition to that incident, they charged me on a night that I did not stay and never had any intentions to stay. When I finally contacted the manager and got the police help, he said his reports showed no record of a cash payment, so I probably will not get credited the double charge. That was $278 cash given to the wrong place. Did the girl behind the desk pocket my 278 dollars? or what? I was shocked! Then in October, the manager said I was a no show for a room I never booked! They make serious mistakes and it's unacceptable. Employees should keep notes like that I wanted to pay cash and it's unbelievable that they are using the excuse that I was a no show for the second charge of $112 when it was a surprise to me. I never called them or gave anyone else my card or authorization to use it at all. The manager seemed to cooperate at first but still avoided my complaints and I feel so ripped off, so I contacted the corporatation and more to get involved to help resolve the matter because their reports should be correct that I paid them in full at the desk for two nights and never made a reservation that would result in a no show charge. I was not called or emailed back after time and attempts; well, the manager told the police he tried but I had no messages? Very unprofessional and watch out everybody if you hand over your credit card or cash!! I can't imagine who could make such big mistakes, and it was not appreciated that I have to go through this and find it difficult to get it resolved. Now I believe they're lying or someone there is stealing and it's been very stressful. So, beware hotel goers. Keep receipts in case you have to prove your side if they make the same mistakes like they did with me. I will never stay there again!
