This hotel is conveniently located to downtown SLO. It is true about them accepting pets--they even ask you this when you check in! It was very clean and well-maintained. Good value for the money. Linens were high quality as well. There are a few good places to eat around the hotel too.

We wanted to have a getaway so we booked a stay at holiday inn express in San luis Obispo. We wanted to travel with our bulldogs and was pleasently surprised to find the holiday inn. They are a pet friendly hotel and only charge 25 dollars for the stay. We were able to bring our babies and they welcomed them at the front desk with dog treats. The staff was very accomidating and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very nice and clean. We normally stay at high end hotels and I was very satisfied with the holiday inn. The beds and furniture was all new and very comfortable. The pool and spa was nice also. We had a wonderful stay and would recomend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel at a decent price and pet friendly! The apple farm across the street is also nice but not pet friendly!

I stayed at this hotel for a week and thought it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and accomodating. All employees smiled and greeted me in the hallways. The room was very clean, the grounds were well kept with lots of plants, trees, and flowers. The pool area was nice with a decent sized pool and jacuzzi with lounge chairs. A great choice in San Luis Obispo!

I've stayed at this hotel twice now for convenience (I had early morning flights out of San Luis Obispo). Both times I left FedEX packages at the front desk upon checkout with assurances from the clerk that they would call them in for pickup. This last time I discovered on that a package I left early Thurs (for next day early a.m. delivery) had not been picked up yet because FedEX had never been notified. Then I remembered the same thing happened when I stayed here in Apr 05.

The rooms are ok, nothing fancy. The front desk clerks are friendly and checkin was a breeze, but IF you choose to stay here, don't ask them to do anything special!

Also the website URL printed on my hotel bill, does not work! More evidence of poor management!

I won't be staying here again.
