The Sandman is great - only stayed one ngiht, but the staff were very friendly, the room was fantastic - very clean, modern and extremely comfortable - the pools are lovely, the view of the mountains is amazing, the breakfast was great. Very close to downtown Santa BArbara. I highly recommend it - very comfortable place if exploring nearby areas.

The lobby staff seems to be made up of many students from UCSB who have found a great place to study.

The shower water would swing from blistering to freezing continuously.

The electric lock would cancel itself and I had to walk to the lobby six times in five days to get new keys.

We were in town attending a wedding . Our room was Clean and Bed was comfortable. Our air worked just fine .We were the only ones in the family who stayed here and we only slept here so I can't speak to the pool except it looked smallish as we drove by it.
The morning breakfast had a large selection of muffins ,cereal fruit, youget, juices,bagels very nice.
I was please and in talking to other family who stay in Brand name "upscale" places we got a better deal for what we payed make no mistake we still payed over a 100.00 a night but you have to consitter the area .We had about a 10 to 15 mintue drive to the peir.
