We booked this Inn site-unseen for two nights for a group of us and it was more than just a reservation and place to stay. From the moment we called to the moment we had to leave - we were treated like the family you are happy to see at the holidays!!! And, as for that nervous feeling you get when you walk into to a hotel or inn and you are about to see your room... is it OK? is it good? is it clean? Forget it - everything is a delight.

First of all, Marti is lovely, professional, caring and warm. She handled our reservation, and was our hostess and our go-to-gal. She welcomed us like family and as quickly disappeared to give us space and privacy. She was instrumental in helping us with our dinner reservation on a Friday night on State St and equally adept at suggesting good hiking trails for a a Saturday afternoon. Some of our party rode bikes from LA - she wouldn't leave until she knew all her ducklings had arrived safely and she greeted them as warmly as if she had known them for years...like I said - the good family!

We stayed in the back building - our room was lovely and the two-person jacuzzi tub was really a two-person tub! We slept well and had everything we could have needed.

We were treated to sweets in the afternoon and savory later in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and just perfect. I thought the fresh fruit, granola, and yoghurt were plenty - and then Marie brought in eggs one day and pancakes another - it was quite unbeleiveable.

We've stayed at other B&Bs in the area and this is not the one with perfect and large grounds, nor is it the one with large rooms but the one we will return to from here on out because it was EVERYTHING a B&B should be. What truly set this place apart from the other lovely places in Sta Barbara was the hospitality and food. Nothing even comes close to the warmth and welcome you experience during your stay at the Bath Street Inn. It was all just right. We could say so much more.

Everyone in our party wants to kow when we are planning a return trip. Most certainly it will be with the Bath Street Inn.

“Exceptional b&b”

We stayed five nights at the Bath Street Inn. This is one of the top b&b's we've been to. The staff is exceptionally helpful, without being intrusive. Kate made sure we found the best restaurants. Marie and Deborah (owners) put us on the right track to the better wineries in Santa Ynez Valley (a 30-45 minute drive). They helped with directions to our next destination in order that we might avoid traffic problems. Marti was fantastic in every way. Note that you are likely to gain weight here -- they have homemade cookies and AMAZING homemade cakes out all the time. The breakfasts are creative and tasty. And our room was taken care of very nicely. We saw some reviews before we booked that said that the location wasn't that convenient -- this is NOT true! The downtown district starts in less than half a mile, and there are excellent restaurants within an easy 10 minute walk. We never used our car in town -- only to go to the Mission, scope out the mountain, and to go to one of the beaches.

We stayed at The Bath Street Inn for one night and it was the best Bed and Breakfast we have been to. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were very nice. Our bed was very comfortable. We loved that there was fresh cookies and cake in the afternoon. Then later on there was wince and cheese. They were also really helpful in selecting a restaurant for dinner. We would reccomend this Inn to anyone going to Santa Barbara. You cant go wrong here. It is a short walk to the main street.

“Cute and Afforable B&B”

Stayed at this little B&B with a friend. We shared an upstairs twin room with a shower. Charming room with a windowseat. The TV/DVD area was a common area upstairs and when others were watching TV out there it could be heard in our room. But after the other guests left it was like having a large livingroom off our room. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious. Homemade cake and cookies are served in the afternoon along with wine. It's a nice touch. Common area downstairs was a good place to meet other travelers. Nice outdoor dining in the back garden. We used this B&B as our base for a visit to the Santa Ynez wine country and visits to the Missions in Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara.

“Absolutely Fantastic”

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon after spending 4 nights at the Bath Street Inn. My husband was a bit on the concerned side about staying in a B&B for our honeymoon, but after 5 minutes of being at Bath Street, his anxieties were put to rest. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay there! Kate and Marie were warm, inviting, and exceptional. The breakfasts blew us away and kept us stuffed way into the afternoon! The staff was extremely open to answering questions about the area, giving suggestions, etc...
The room we stayed in was very nice (The Partrige room) and extremely comfortable. They offer a Tea time daily around 4:30, which we were unable to attend, but did make it back to the afternoon wine and cheese, which was also daily. Homemade cookies, cakes, coffee was set out and available on a daily basis as well.
The location is fantastic. Just a walk to downtown Santa Barbara and the Beach.
We will definitely go back when we are in the area and we both highly recommend the experience!
