This is a good basic hotel to stay at for families who are looking for a full-size kitchen and decent suite near the beach. We slept pretty well here with the kids in Brisas Penthouse #7. The Air Conditioning was good and the room was quiet despite the fact that the back windows overlooked the Exxon Gas Station and Car Wash.
Here are the minuses:
The Brisas Penthouse is described on the hotel's website as having a jacuzzi tub. That's not true. The one we stayed in (#7) had a regular tub and shower. When my husband asked about this the front desk girl said that the "shape of the tub" made it a jacuzzi. I don't know what she was talking about because the tub was a regular tub.
The back of the suite overlooked the Exxon Gas Station and Car Wash. It's noisy if you have the windows open. If all the windows are closed you'd never know it was there.
On our first day there, the toilet overflowed. We had toilet water all over our bathroom floor. Thankfully the service staff fixed this problem that day.
The dishes in the kitchen were dirty with crusty food dried onto the supposedly clean dishes in the cupboard. It was obvious the staff trust guests to clean the dishes properly and put them away clean. If the guests leave dirty dishes behind, the maids have very little time to wash dishes so they probably just wash and rinse them quickly before putting them away.
The front desk personnel were okay but the checkout person wasn't too friendly or knowledgeable when my husband inquired about a AAA discount for our stay.
Despite these minuses our room was generally clean and comfortable. However my husband, who is more picky than I am, announced we won't be staying here again.
