Arrived late in Santa Barbara. Very basic room. Bed was not very comfortable and the bathroom was the worst I've ever encountered for the price. It was small and dingy. The saving grace was that it was clean. Pretty what you would expect for a Days Inn motel. On the plus side, it served a complimentary continental breakfast (basic too) and it had free wireless internet access.

You can do better,
Overpriced, Dirty, Thieves.
First, my daughters clothes were stolen from the room while we were at the beach. The man at the desk, could care less. I am not sure he even understood me.
Next, Opened up the bedsheets to find hair on the sheets, YUK.
Then, power went out for 4 hours. If you need a blowdryer, you know what an inconvenience that is.
Next, All rooms on same day different prices. Ranging from $88-$210? WTF? How do I know... all guest information on computer right in front of you. There are many, many other budget friendly hotel/motels in the area.

Worst Hotel-Motel ever! Worst personnel (hosts, maids, etc.): the most unfriendly, rude people work here. No one speaks a decent English, everyone is so rude and unfriendly, it’s hard even to say!!! Rooms are so small, when walked into our room; we've thought it's made for dwarfs! Appliances are so old and outdated, it makes you feel depressed to the end. I would recommend this hotel-motel in case you don't want to spend a night on the street as a homeless ONLY. In all other cases - stay away, like from the worst humanly possible nightmare! Stay away, like you would from your worst enemy!

This is a reasonably conveniently located, smaller property offering value for money in what is an expensive town. True, its by a ball park and there is some noise from the road but we did not find that too bad. Its located pretty close to the beach and State Street is not too far away (the trolley bus stop is around the corner). Breakfast is OK, pretty standard fare. This is not a place for a romantic weekend or for a long stay or if you are looking for frills. However, for the budget-minded looking for somewhere reasonably central for a night or two, it's probably what you are looking for.
