We stayed at the Viceroy for one night and got an excellent impression. It is located close to but not on the beach which is probably why it is a little cheaper than other good hotels in the area. The service was perfect, the rooms are decorated stylishly and the pool scene was very cool. good value.

this hotel is in a fab location, its so stylish, and the food was excellent. unfortunately i had to get the hotel doctor (nothing to do with hotel food ..) and this was done very quickly, the staff were also great.

We just stayed for one night but had a great impression and loved champagne and chocs in our room for honeymooners. Also went to the restaurant with great service and food, so would recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Viceroy for 4 nights at the end of Nov, and we loved it. The decor, ambiance and quality of finish to this hotel are top notch, and the quality and friendliness of the staff were fantastic.

We ate both breakfast and room service dinner in the hotel (not each night - once each) and both were fantastic. The room was great - sure, they're not huge, but they're certainly of a very good size, and a LOT bigger than here in New York! The bed was totally dreamy - literally one of - if not the most - comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The hotel has a couple of very cool retro-style bikes that you can borrow - worth it to cycle along the beach, just a block in front.

Minor gripes - it's $11 a day for wireless, which is just too pricey. The hotel corridors are perhaps a smidgen too dark.

If and when we return to the LA/Santa Monica area, we'd deffo stay here again.

Top tip - go for a yummy brunch at Shutters across the road. And don't miss the Getty Center - it's incredible, particularly just before sunset.
