We followed the advice of another Trip Advisor member to stay at this hotel. We were not disappointed. From the great rooms with super maintenance and cleanliness, to the way the staff treats you like friends in offering excellent advice on where to go and the best way to get there, this place is wonderful !! Did I mention the breakfasts (the scones were excellent. Laura, Julie, Janet and Gustavo could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Also, though Santa Rosa is in the Wine Country, we saw a state Redwood preserve (magical), the California coast along US 1 (majestic), and St. Reyes National Seashore (awesome). I have traveled a lot, but this rated "super special" with us.

for the price, i wasn't expecting much. i was in town for a wedding and wasn't looking for luxury, i was simply in need of a place to sleep. it was clean. the staff was nice enough. the breakfast was good. it's old and in the old part of town, but for me, it was better than i expected, and i left happy!

It's a beautiful hotel, but we were put in the Carriage House, which is really a glorified motel across the road. Nothing was particularly wrong with the room, it was just too dull to charge $150 per night. It's a Super 8 in disguise.

The staff, it has to be said, were very nice. The breakfast was ho-hum -- cheese, meat, croissants, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, coffee, etc. Nothing exciting there.

This is an historic bed and breakfast located in the old railroad section of Santa Rosa. We easily walked to delightful shops and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel, Joseph's, was excellent. The staff was outstanding and helpful with everything. The breakfast is buffet and Ok and there is lots of it but not the great breakfast that we have had in other bed and breakfasts. The rooms are nice but some are much better than others. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. This was our first stay and we will definitely be back but will choose a different room as ours was noisy. Easy drives to wine vineyards and the Charles Schultz Museum. The staff is terrific!
