Stayed here for my birthday weekend and when woke up found the bathroom plumbing to be backed up - this seemed to be a problem for the entire small, older building of rooms (there is another larger building of rooms across the way - and some even fancier rooms a couple of blocks away). I was disappointed that the management did not comp me in some type of way, as we had to walk down to the public restrooms early in the morning. We did enjoy the swimming pool (hot tub, swimming pool and a small waterfall pool for my little one). I still have not decided if I would stay here again.

Decent hotel, especiially for the price. Great location and the staff was friendly. Received danish cookies upon arrival. Room was clean but the hotel could use some remodeling. I probably would stay here again.

An excellent deal by the week or monthly in the OFF season, (which many small town mom & pop places adjust every year, given their financial situation, rather than standard dates.)

Myself and other random guests I spoke to, however experienced the same indifferent, rude superiority complex coming from the owners and staff.

When a very hostile neighboring guest was repetitively mean to me for no reason other than being cantankerously elitist, I was informed that he could not be dealt with as he was a FRIEND OF THE OWNER'S.

AND YOU'RE GOING TO PAY THEM FOR THIS EXPERIENCE?

Although the rooms were fine, the staff was awful! We attended a wedding in Solvang where guests from all over the country booked their rooms for the night at the Solvang Inn and Cottages. The bride had accidentally reserved two rooms for us under our name. When we checked in, the gal at the desk did not tell us there were two rooms saved for us. She gave us one room and then charged us for both rooms. We had no way of knowing there were two rooms reserved in our name until we paid the next morning. The gal at the front desk, who I pray was not the owner, was not only unaccommodating, she was rude and terribly condescending. We did end up paying for both rooms. I'm not sure who was to blame, here, and that was not even the issue. The problem was how horrible they treated us and the bride's family. The wedding guests must have taken up 60% of the hotel that night, but they still refused to take off the charges. We were very disappointed.
