I believe the Avenue of the Giants may be my favorite vacation spot. Being surrounded by so much majestic beauty, such magnificent trees, and so many shades of green (watch out for the poison oak though -- it's green in May), I think my blood pressure has never been lower. Many trails to hike (easy-grades), lots of signage to let you know the interesting details found in nature (How's it go? "...leaves of three, let them be!). I just kept stopping to look up, and my breath would be taken away as I looked into the heavens where the redwood canopy floated. The walk was easy, too, good for when you've been in the car for too long. Highest recommendation for this experience.
