While managed through an organization that manages properties for the Beaver Creek resort, the units in Snow Cloud at Bachelor Gulch are individually owned and furnished by their owners. Therefore the exact furnishings (kitchen tools, media, couches, tables) will vary from unit to unit.
We stayed in unit 716 and had a fun view of the lifts. There were 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and an additional 1/2 bath off the living space. For 3 couples this was a great layout. I could imagine that this unit would also work well for a family. The layout of the kitchen / main living space was an open format and included a fireplace and access to a balcony porch. On the balcony was a grill. The master bedroom had a great large master bath that included a large shower with body jets and steam shower functionality, the other bedroom downstairs also included its own bathroom with a shower/tub. The upstairs had a loft living space and the third bedroom with its own bathroom. The internet wifi worked well. And while some of the pieces of furniture were worn down and out of shape, we were super happy with this unit. The kitchen was well stocked with nice quality appliances and lots of plates, glasses and a reasonable assortment of cooking pans and utensils. The upstairs bedroom and the master bedroom shared walls with neighboring units and our friends reported hearing a crying baby, a couple arguing, and the water noises of the neighboring bathroom through the walls.
Snow Cloud includes an indoor garage for vehicles with elevators directly from the garage up to the living units.
We really enjoyed our location. In this season of very little snow, the Bachelor Gulch section of Beaver Creek had some of the best runs in Beaver Creek, so we were ideally situated. The ski lockers on the ground floor, and the convenient location of the lift just a little ways downhill from the door of Snow Cloud, made it super easy to get out and what we had come to do: ski. The Ritz Carlton was just downhill from Snow Cloud and had a ski shop for those who want to rent ski/snow board equipment, sign up for lessons, and/or buy new ski clothes.
Service at the hotel was great. We were warmly greeted, shown our room and given a tour of the facility. The desk staff were always kind and friendly to us. There were fresh pieces of fruit in the lobby at all times and warm chocolate chip cookies at around 3 pm every afternoon. Off the main lobby were outdoor hot-tubs. Also available to Snow Cloud guests were the heated swimming pool and other amenities of the Ritz Carlton. The resort also provides shuttle service to Beaver Creek, and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes from calling for a ride to one being ready at the front door.
Overall our group of six immensely enjoyed our stay at Snow Cloud, and would like to come back again.
