When we decided to celebrate a significant birthday and wedding anniversary of a family member, Boulder was the place for us to gather. We have roots there that go back almost a hundred years, although no one from our family lives there now. We traveled from both coasts in early April, and the Bradley Inn made it a perfect weekend for us.
We found out about the Bradley from Tripadvisor reviews and booked five rooms for eight people by phoning the Inn directly in mid- January. When we made the inevitable adjustments in our plans by email, Emily and Leah were prompt and helpful in their replies.
Because of delayed flights into Denver, we didn't arrive at the Bradley until almost midnight on Friday. A bottle of champagne was waiting in the room of the couple we were honoring. That gesture set the tone for the whole weekend. The staff was so helpful-- they were genuinely concerned that the weekend would be a special one for all of us.
All of our rooms were wonderful. The photographs on the well-designed website are accurate, by the way. The Inn is quiet, although it's a short walk to Pearl Street, and we all slept well in the luxurious beds. The Aveda products in the bathrooms were the same that some of us use at home. The breakfasts were terrific and the vegetarians in our group were shown special consideration. The wine and cheese in the evening was a treat, too.
The Bradley Inn is elegant, but it is also home-like in the best sense of the word. After spending the day exploring Boulder and seeing sights such as the house our grandfather once owned, we were able to gather in the Great Room and share conversations all of us will remember and cherish. When we return to Boulder, we'll stay at the Bradley Inn.
