We mostly enjoyed this hotel. It's at least $50 a night cheaper than downtown places, but the common areas are pleasant, and the rooms, while small, are very nice. The mountain views from the rooms on the west side of the hotel are fabulous. The hotel is oddly located, sort of in midtown, but it's an easy drive to get to where you need to go. Also, the surface parking out front is free and plentiful, which is a benefit of increasing importance. However, the restaurant was a disaster. On our first morning, something went terribly wrong with the breakfast buffet and all of a sudden no food was brought out nor was service rendered to those of us sitting at tables. We did not pay. We and others complained to the front desk. They apologized several times and made amends by giving me free coupons for future breakfasts. I appreciated that. We did have breakfast on future mornings. Food was acceptable. Service ranged from decent to poor. On one day, the first four empty plates I took from the stack were dirty. One had a slice of vegetable stuck to the bottom. I would hope the people in charge of the restaurant are fired. While we liked the hotel overall, we would not select it in the future.
