We had a nice stay at the BCL during the 2008 ski season. We stayed in a three bedroom unit and it was well appointed. Some of the furniture needed replacement and repair. Some of the kitchen items were broken and some were in short number. The lodge is not ski in or out. It does have an above ground mini transport, called a funicular, that travels a few hundred yards to the slope, but it travels very slow and was often over crowded when we were trying to use it. The lodge offers a shuttle, but it too was not immediately available due to the high occupancy while we were there. The fitness equipment was old and the electronic components were not all in working order. The view from any of the units below the very top floor was limited due to the surrounding trees. From what we could see, all of the units have parking lot views. Best of all, the staff was very friendly and always tried to be accomodating to any requests.

Excellent facilities with great customer service. This is the best deal in Telluride for a high-end rental and the views are spectacular.

Bear Creek is a nice condo system, and the staff is truly exceptional, but it is not where we would choose again. The units are nice and clean, although they are clearly intended to be able to divide even the larger units into single bedroom units. The result is that the larger units are almost maze like. We had a lovely view, but this property is nothing special. It is definitely NOT ski in ski out. The only access to the slopes is via free shuttle, which runs constantly, or via funicular, which is a tiny little "gondola" like car that takes you to a slope. We prefer to stay closer to the slopes, and assumed ski in ski out meant truly that! A wonderful time in Telluride....but will pick different lodging next time.

Great stay, units were larger than photos show, clean, modern, great beds, spa, sauna and steam room 100 feet away, not quite ski in - ski out but close, all staff was excellent and helpful
