When we arrived, the lobby was the only thing that was really updated about this place. Halls were narrow and smelled musty, bathrooms were a joke, no room at all. Garage was unavailable as furniture was in it for renovations that were being done in housekeeping rooms so had to park outside. When we came back from dinner, had to park around building as no parking close to entrance, the WHOLE floor we were on, floor above us, below us, lobby pool area, and parking lot was filled with college age, I can't even use the term adults, running around yelling with drinks in hand. Doors were open, music full blast playing. I understand they want to have a good time, but this was ridiculous. Went down to request that we be moved and were told a fraternity was booked for the weekend! Nothing was said about this when we booked.
The only good thing about this place was the manager Nancy did call and get another place to stay. Needless to say, won't go back here again.

Room tip: There is no good tip for this hotel.

We recently stayed here because I found a good deal online and we were just looking to get out of town for a night. It was not ski season and the place was almost empty, which was fine with us. The pet fee for one dog, after taxes and "resort fees" was over $40! Had I realized that before booking the room, we never would have stayed here. If you have more than one pet, better cash in some stocks. Other than that it was a nice place, but because of that we won't be back.

Room tip: Beware of steep pet fees

I got a travel zoo and we sure got a deal! They gave us the Governors Suite with a fireplace and kitchenette. Huge room, amazing views. They need new carpet but staff told me they are already doing that in the rooms.
Bar was fun! Pool and hot tubs were great also had great views with huge windows.
Staff was helpful and gracious. Breakfast was ordinary, typical "continental" style. But good coffee and plenty of food.
We'll go back for sure!

Room tip: We loved the view of ski slopes. Pretty at night too. I think the forest view would be more boring. 5th floor is "no pets"....best views.

We also took advantage of a Travel Zoo offer for our stay. We spent 3 nights in a pet friendly room which was also a plus.. only $35 pet fee. Location is great right across from the ski area and just down the road from Winter Park and Fraser. Aspens were about 60% spent, but still a very nice time of year to take in the mountains. As others have said breakfast was OK...." fruit, muffins, pastries, bagels, yogurt, dry cereal (cheerios, fruit loops, frosted flakes, instant oatmeal) ... they did have some good ' home made ' cream cheeses for the bagels... Coffee was forgettable. I don't expect much more than this .. standard continental breakfast fare. This is truly the dead season in Winter Park until ski season begins... which was fine.

Swimming pool, hot tubs, and sauna were fine.... Moffatt Brewery resides in the hotel and is part of the bar on the second floor and the beer was excellent.. especially the Rugged IPA. Part of our Travel Zoo deal was 2 free beers per day... so this was a pleasant surprise. TV's were old, as someone else mentioned.... I didn't come up to watch TV... Wireless worked fine in the room, if that's a concern.... This was a good deal with the discount and would do it again...

Holes in the doors, air conditioning non-functional ,paint chipping off the walls, old very soft mattresses, no security lock inside the door.......need I go on? I wanted a nice weekend get away for my friend and I, and was very disappointed. It does have free wi-fi in the room. Hoping to change rooms in the morning for our second night, wish is luck.
