One of our favorite places to stay in Winter Park! Rooms area little dated, but that is part of the charm. Close to the village, just jump on cabriolet, and just off the highway for a trip into town. Nice heated pool and large hot tub were great after our long day of hiking.

Stayed here in June, not a great location for this time of year as so far out from shops and restaurants. Rooms overlooking pool have to put up with noise. Spacious rooms, which I am sure work great for ski season. Dinner and breakfast in bar area was really pretty revolting but I didnt have any other choice due to the location. Would strongly recommend to eat elsewhere.

My wife and I stayed at the Vintage for a weekend up from Denver during the winter of 2013-2014 with our dogs. They gladly accepted our 3 German Shepherds and were even kind enough to upgrade us to a little larger room with a kitchen since we were bringing our 3 dogs. That worked out perfect so we could keep our dogs raw food cold/frozen in the fridge/freezer and not on ice in the cooler the entire trip It was a very reasonably priced hotel and had everything we needed to make our long weekend stay fun for us and our dogs! The room was certainly large enough to accommodate all 3 of our dogs and their crates during the day when we were skiing. The location is great, it's a short walk to the base village (if you're walking your dogs). The hotel room was clean and in good condition. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the necessary items (i.e., plates, bowls, utensils, etc.). We've been skiing at WP for years, but usually just daily trips or in cabins, so having our dogs with us a the resort was great and a ton of fun for the dogs to be able to play in the snow and go for a hike with us after skiing.

Room tip: If you're bringing your dogs, be sure to ask for the 2nd floor so you can just walk up and down the stairs with them instead of jumping in the elevator each time they need to go outside.

As accommodation for a school ski trip we were quite happy with this hotel as it served our purpose very well. However it is quite large and plain and has no particular characteristics to recommend it above any other similar properties. The Vintage is handy for the gondola that takes you directly to the village. However this doesn't run in the evening so without transport you could feel a little isolated. Some of our party had lovely spacious rooms with a fireplace which seemed very comfortable. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. The staff on the reception desk were very friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Larger rooms with fireplace

We have stayed at the Vintage numerous times over the past few years. It is conveniently located walking distance from a gondola which can take you to the base of Winter Park. The hotel is older, which is noticeable in some rooms where there is older furniture or fixtures, but very clean. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. There is a heated pool, and hot tub, which often have a lot of children from our experience. The on site bar is ok, we have only had drinks there - selection of beers is limited and drinks are pricey (as to be expected with most places at a ski resort). Also parking is outside, but very close in to the hotel.

I would recommend that if you don't have children, to ask for a room either facing away from the pool (it can be noisy) or on a high floor. In general since the hotel is older, higher floors are better because you can't hear people walking in their ski boots in the morning (the floors don't seem very soundproof). This noisy factor and hotel age are why i give it 3 stars.

One other thing is that they are very dog friendly - believe it is a flat fee for your dog no matter how long the stay.

Good value for the price if you catch a deal (sign up for their emails), and very convenient being so close to the base. We will likely stay here again during the next ski season.

Room tip: Choose high floor rooms so you don't hear people stomping over your head in the morning. Also choose rooms away from the pool because they are noisy.
